Smashbox contour kit: Review and tutorial
Hello followers, I hope you're all having a great weekend. In today's blog post I will be talking about my most recent beauty purchase.
A brand I am really loving at the moment is smashbox. I recently purchased their new contour Kit. The kit consists of three shades which includes: contour, bronze and highlight. As well as including three different shades which can help to create that chic Kardashian look, it also provides you with a fluffy angle brush and a chart which includes a variety of different face shapes and instruction as to how a certain face shape should be contoured. I found this really helpful and definitely helped me achieve the perfect contour look. I really love this product as the pallet is powdered so it gives a really lovely matte finish, which is the look I personally like to go for. This product is also great because it's great for everyday use and nightwear.

Steps to the perfect contour:
1. PRIME!
If you want to achieve the perfect matte contoured look
then this is the prime step! Your skin needs to be prepared before applying any product on to the face. My favourite primer is smashbox photo finish primer. This product is amazing for oily skin and leaves skin looking matte and smooth before applying any foundation. The primer is clear with no tint so this is perfect if you're looking for a more light and fresh faced look. Apply primer after using daily moisturiser.
2. Apply a liquid foundation!
Although this look achieves a matte look; it's best to use a liquid foundation as a base so the powder product applies better onto the skin. To get get great results with foundation use a round foundation brush as it gets the product on quicker and gives a better result rather than using a flat brush.
3. Skip your usual powder!
Adding excess powder before applying the contour pallet will result to a very caked look. To achieve a more natural complexion skip straight to the contour pallet.

4. As I have said previously; the product includes a step by step guide as to how to achieve the perfect contour look depending on face shape. An important aspect to remember is to blend thoroughly and do not add excess powder onto the angle brush, as it will add too much definition on the face and will look very unnatural.
